after-the-fact authorization for clearing and grading activities conducted to develop the Florida Parish Arena. The proposed project includes the development of parking areas and temporary buildings to support community activities and events.

The proposed project includes construction of a T-Wall in front of the existing Cousins Pump Station, a gate crossing at Texaco Road that will connect to the previously constructed Ellington Levee Project, and associated infrastructure. The project also includes construction of a sump area on the protected side of the levee to increase stormwater detention capacity and improve drainage of the Lakewood Ridge, Lagatutta Estates, and South Lakewood subdivisions.

The applicant requests authorization to clear, excavate, grade, and discharge fill within jurisdictional Section 10/404 wetlands and non-wetland waters (NWWs) by elevating and widening the existing Marvin Braud Levee system. The applicant states that the project is needed due to the existing levee system and pump station being susceptible to overwhelming flood waters when severe storms and storm surge impact the Amite River system. The project proposes to partially impact approximately 11.21 acres of wetlands, permanently impact approximately 12.49 acres of NWWs, and permanently impact approximately 14.16 acres of wetlands. Of these wetland impact amounts, approximately 4.78 acres of cypress tupelo swamp habitat, 17.91 acres of bottomland hardwood wetland habitat, and 2.68 acres of scrub shrub (PSS) wetland habitat will be impacted. Partially impacted wetlands (conversion from forested to emergent habitat) will be maintained as emergent wetlands post-construction.

The applicant requests authorization to improve the A-West segment of the Larose to Golden Meadow Levee System via dredging of the abutting A-West Borrow Canal and discharging the dredged material onto segment A-West to increase levee elevation. The applicant proposes to dredge approximately 293,363 cubic yards of water bottom material over a 30.5-acre area of non-vegetated water bottoms within the A-West Borrow Canal. The applicant states that dredging operations will not extend into adjacent forested areas or wetlands that abut the borrow canal, and no impacts to vegetated wetlands will occur. Dredged material and additional fill material obtained from offsite will then be discharged onto the existing levee above the mean high water (MHW) line to complete the levee lift improvements.

The applicant requests authorization to construct the Godchaux Canal Floodgate and lift a USACE designed access road (Midway Canal) into a levee near Dufrene Ponds and Des Allemands. The applicant is proposing these additional features be incorporated into the Upper Barataria Risk Reduction (UBRR) Segments 3 and 4. USACE Civil Works is responsible for the design and environmental compliance of all the other features (e.g. Bayou Des Allemands floodgate and Godchaux Canal Levee) of the UBRR outlined in the drawings. The applicant is proposing no additional wetlands and non-wetland water impacts for the raising of the Midway Canal access road into a levee. The applicant is proposing to permanently fill 1.17 acres of fresh marsh wetlands and 0.05 acre of non-wetland waterbottoms for the construction of the Godchaux Canal Floodgate.

This public notice describes the proposed establishment of a wetland mitigation bank in Illinois.

The purpose of this project is to restore the area's natural hydrology and native plant communities. The restoration will involve disabling the existing subsurface drainage systems to re-establish historical wetland conditions. The goal is to create a diverse habitat consisting of fresh wet meadow, shallow marsh, deep marsh, and native upland prairie and forest. This will improve water quality, increase habitat connectivity, and restore the site's ability to retain water. The project is sponsored by the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) in partnership with the landowner, Tim Donelan.
